DERB
Uncompromising. Powerful. Unmistakable.
DERB emerged from the collaboration between Kai Winter, also known as Kan Cold, and Boris Hafner, alias Global Cee. Both had already gained extensive experience as producers and DJs before launching the project together in the early 2000s.
With releases such as „Derb“, „Derbus“ and „In Africa“, DERB quickly became an internationally recognized name in the Hard Trance scene. The sound deliberately focused on directness: hard basslines, stripped-back melodies and uncompromising energy for the dancefloor.
In addition to their own productions, remixes were created for artists including Kai Tracid, Space Frog and Warmduscher. Throughout his career, Kai Winter performed at international festivals and events such as Dance Valley, Decibel, Defqon and Ruhr-in-Love.
DERB is still active today. More recent collaborations and remixes combine the classic DERB sound with contemporary Hard Dance, Trance and Neo Rave. In 2026, „Derbus 2026“ was released as another reinterpretation of the classic.
