Karla Blum

Berlin techno artist combining driving energy, hypnotic groove and emotional tension

Karla Blum was born in Berlin and grew up in a city where electronic music and club culture are part of everyday life. Her own DJ career started comparatively late, but developed quickly. During and after the pandemic she intensified her focus on electronic music, learned to DJ and played her first public set at Berlin's Ritter Butzke in May 2022.

What began as a personal project soon became a professional career. Karla Blum established herself with powerful, clearly structured sets shaped by driving techno, rolling basslines, minimalist rhythms and distinctive acid elements. Her music is not only about hardness; dynamics, tension and the shared energy between DJ and audience are equally important.

Her path has since taken her to well-known clubs and major festival stages including Ritter Butzke, Uebel & Gefährlich, Bootshaus, SonneMondSterne and Parookaville. As a producer, releases such as “Bad Bitch”, “Time”, “In My Dreams”, “No Fear” and “Checkmate” reflect her style between pressure, groove and melodic tension.

In 2024 she founded her own imprint, BLUM BERLIN, giving her greater control over music, visual identity and artistic development. The project reflects her ambition to build a complete creative world rather than simply appear as a DJ and producer.

Her performances thrive on a direct and energetic connection with the audience. Precise, physical and modern, they combine pressure, atmosphere and a recognisable signature that works in intimate clubs as well as on large festival stages.

At GM Warehouse 157, her contemporary Berlin techno meets a venue whose industrial history remains visible. Timber, brickwork and modern club technology create a setting that fits her sound: raw, direct and carefully staged.
