Josh Breitner

Electronic storyteller between hypnotic club sound, unusual spaces and uncompromising atmosphere

Josh Breitner is a DJ, curator and the creative mind behind PROJECT SOUNDTRACK – a concept that treats electronic music not as background, but as a defining part of a place. His sets are built around atmosphere, audience, architecture and the character of a moment rather than a fixed genre plan.

Musically, he moves between Deep House, Tech House, hypnotic Techno and deep, rolling club grooves. Instead of chasing quick effects, he works with long arcs, precise transitions and selections that evolve organically. Sets often start warm and restrained before gradually becoming denser and more powerful.

That dramaturgy makes his approach versatile: intimate bar and lounge soundtracks sit alongside festival, club and warehouse sets. The common thread is always the same – music should tell a recognisable story rather than feel interchangeable.

With PROJECT SOUNDTRACK he developed this idea into a wider creative platform. Venues, events and special situations receive individually curated electronic soundtracks that are played live, documented and treated as part of the identity of the place.

His work combines music with a broader visual and conceptual approach. Websites, event presentation, artist profiles, social content and the musical experience are understood as parts of one story rather than separate disciplines.

At GM Warehouse 157, this approach meets an ideal setting. Industrial architecture, proximity to the audience and the history of the venue provide a space in which his sets can move from deep and controlled to direct, powerful and uncompromisingly danceable. As an opening DJ, his aim is to prepare the room for the headliner without using up the night's energy too early.
